The Alleghany Mountaineers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Floyd County Buffaloes to 4 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Alleghany moves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to Glenvar (Salem, VA) to play the Highlanders in a Three Rivers game on Wednesday, April 19. The Highlanders come into the game with a record of 2-6. Glenvar won 7-6 in their recent non-league game against Salem (Salem, VA)

In their next game, the Buffaloes play the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a Three Rivers game, on Friday, April 21. Floyd County will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record.
