Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH), 14-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Big Blacks now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Marietta for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. Point Pleasant will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 20-1 non-league loss to Meigs (Pomeroy, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 0-13.

With the loss, Fort Frye falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Cadets host River (Hannibal, OH) to battle the Pilots in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAA challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Pilots enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. River lost 8-6 in their recent league challenge against Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH)
