Spectators at Monday's league match between the Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) and the visiting Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL), witnessed Prospect's softball squad tip Hersey by a count of 2-1.

The Knights now sport a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Rolling Meadows for a Mid-Suburban East match on Wednesday, April 19. Prospect will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 22-6 league win over Wheeling (Wheeling, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Hersey moves to 6-4 on the season. The Huskies host Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL) to face the Grenadiers in a Mid-Suburban East match on Wednesday, April 19. The Grenadiers go into the match with a record of 5-5. Elk Grove lost 10-3 in their recent league match against Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL)
