Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they host Vernon Hills for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Hersey will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Deerfield (Deerfield, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 11-16.

With the loss, Prospect falls to 14-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Monday, May 8. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 5-15. Rolling Meadows lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL)
