Mississippi High School Softball - Lawrence County bounces Purvis

The Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) softball routed the visiting Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS), 15-10 in Monday's league bout.
The Cougars (12-8) will now prepare for their bout against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars go into the non-league bout with a 7-6 record. In their last bout, North Pike held off Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS), 14-4, in a non-league bout.
The Tornadoes now possess a 14-6 record. They play next when they host West Marion for a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 18. Purvis will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Perry Central (New Augusta, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 19-4.
