Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Galileo Falcons (Danville, VA), 4-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders confront the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Tuesday, April 23. Appomattox County will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Governors enter the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA).

The Falcons now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Altavista for a Dogwood challenge on Friday, April 19. Galileo will confront a Colonels team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 0-8.
