Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now sport a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they host The Colony for a 5A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, April 19. Wakeland will face a Cougars squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Frisco falls to 6-19 on the campaign. The Raccoons travel to Reedy (Frisco, TX) to face the Lions in a 5A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 16-10. Reedy lost 15-11 in their recent league challenge against Creekview (Carrollton, TX)
