Virginia High School Baseball - Matoaca defeats Hopewell

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) and the visiting Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), saw Matoaca's baseball team gain a win over Hopewell by a tally of 10-2.

The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Monacan (Richmond, VA). The Chiefs enter the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Monacan defeated L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA), 12-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Blue Devils face the Dinwiddie Generals (Dinwiddie, VA) in a Central battle, on Friday, April 18. Hopewell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Generals enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Monacan (Richmond, VA).
