The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) and the host Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), saw Matoaca's baseball team gain a win over Hopewell by a tally of 10-0.

The Warriors (15-5) will now prepare for their battle against Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Royals enter the Central battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, Prince George prevailed over Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA), 5-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Blue Devils face the Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) in a Central battle, on Wednesday, May 21. Hopewell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 8-12 record after their 11-5 league win over Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA).
