Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), saw Watauga's soccer squad triumph over South Caldwell by a count of 7-1.

The Pioneers (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 1-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 29. South Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
