Kentucky High School Softball - Russell County bounces Metcalfe County

April 17, 2025: Russell Springs, KY 42642

In Thursday's league match, the host Russell County Lakers softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Metcalfe County Hornets.

The Lakers (9-9) will now prepare for their match against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Rockets go into the non-league match with a 11-8 record. In their last match, Rockcastle County gained a win over Lincoln County (Stanford, KY), 11-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 21. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Commanders go into the match with a 2-14 record after their 14-1 league loss to Nelson County (Bardstown, KY).
