Kentucky High School Softball - Metcalfe County succumbs to Russell County

In Tuesday's league test, the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) softball squad overwhelmed the host Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), by a tally of 13-0.

Next, the Lakers clash with the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, May 7. Russell County will attempt to advance on its 12-12 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 3-15 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Clinton County (Albany, KY).

The Hornets (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, Monroe County was routed by Russell County (Russell Springs, KY), 12-2, in a non-league test.
