New Site Royals (New Site, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS), 14-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now sport a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host Baldwyn for a 2A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. New Site will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Thrasher falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Walnut (Walnut, MS) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 11-15. Walnut lost 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Alcorn Central (Glen, MS)
