Vale Vikings (Vale, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside for a 3A Special District 2 challenge on Friday, April 21. Vale will face a Pirates squad coming off a 20-13 league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Nyssa falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Payette (Payette, ID) to face the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 4-10. Payette lost 14-4 in their recent league challenge against McCall-Donnelly (McCall, ID)
