The R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) softball the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 6-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Hilltoppers (12-3) will now prepare for their bout against Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Blue Devils go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Brevard was routed by Pisgah (Canton, NC), 8-2, in a non-league bout.
