Virginia High School Baseball - West Point loses to Mathews

The Mathews Blue Devils baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host West Point Pointers to 4 in the Blue Devils league victory on Thursday.

The Blue Devils (5-6) will now prepare for their match against Franklin (Franklin, VA). The Broncos go into the non-league match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Franklin was overwhelmed by Sussex Central (Sussex, VA), 19-0, in a league match.

The Pointers (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Essex ran past Northampton (Eastville, VA), 10-0, in a non-league match.
