Virginia High School Baseball - West Point loses to Mathews

The Mathews Blue Devils crushed the visiting West Point Pointers baseball team by a count of 11-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Blue Devils now possess a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Middlesex for a Tidewater bout on Thursday, May 9. Mathews will face a Chargers team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 5-11.

Next, the Pointers face the Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA) in a Tidewater bout, on Wednesday, May 8. West Point will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 1-14 record after their 13-0 league loss to King William (King William, VA).
