In Thursday's league test, the host Monte Vista Monarchs lacrosse squad scored a tight 15-9 victory over the Santana Sultans.
The Monarchs now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Grossmont for a Grossmont test on Tuesday, April 23.
In their next game, the Sultans face the Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 19. Santana will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Chieftains come into the test with a 6-8 record after their 13-6 league loss to Mission Bay (San Diego, CA).
