North Carolina High School Soccer - Monroe overwhelmed by Piedmont

April 18, 2024: Monroe, NC 28110

The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), saw Piedmont's soccer squad triumph over Monroe by a count of 9-0.

The Panthers now hold a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Garinger for a non-league test on Friday, April 19. Piedmont will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Monroe drops to 1-10 on the season. The Redhawks travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to meet the Colts in a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Tuesday, April 23. The Colts come into the test with a record of 8-4. West Stanly lost 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Robinson (Concord, NC)
