Northern Adirondack Bobcats (Ellenburg Depot, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Saranac for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Saturday, April 20. Northern Adirondack will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Peru (Peru, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Saranac Lake falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Red storm host Peru (Peru, NY) to battle the Nighthawks in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Friday, April 19. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Peru lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Saranac (Saranac, NY)
