Rice Bulldogs (Rice, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX), 28-11 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host Eustace for a 3A Region III District 18 challenge on Monday, April 25. Rice will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-1 league loss to Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-11.

With the loss, Kemp falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 3A Region III District 18 challenge on Saturday, April 23. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 11-11. Malakoff lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Mildred (Corsicana, TX)
