Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 16-5 in a league challenge.

The Lynx now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host George Stevens Academy for a Class C North challenge on Friday, April 21. Mattanawcook will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-2 league loss to Sumner (East Sullivan, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Central falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to battle the Ponies in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. The Ponies enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Foxcroft Academy lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME)
