The Mattanawcook Lynx routed the visiting Central Red Devils softball squad by a final score of 20-2 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Lynx (11-0) will now prepare for their battle against Orono (Orono, ME). The Riots go into the Class C North battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Orono was routed by Old Town (Old Town, ME), 11-1, in a non-league battle.
The Red Devils now possess a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Piscataquis for a Class C North battle on Thursday, May 18. Central will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 26-0 non-league loss to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 0-10.
