Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), 18-2 in a league challenge.

The Lynx now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a Class C North challenge on Monday, April 22. Mattanawcook will face a Tigers squad coming off a 16-5 non-league win over Stearns (Millinocket, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME) in a Class C North game, on Wednesday, April 24. George Stevens Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
