The Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) softball routed the host Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), 13-4 in Friday's league bout.

The Redskins (13-5) will now prepare for their bout against Poca (Poca, WV). The The Dots go into the non-league bout with a 5-11 record. In their last bout, Poca was routed by Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 5-2, in a league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a non-league bout on Monday, April 22. Ripley will confront a Tornadoes squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Waterford (Waterford, OH). The Tornadoes record now stands at 9-3.
