Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), 3-2 in a league test.
With the win, Sandia upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Matadors host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Golden Eagles in a 5A District 2 test on Saturday, April 9. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-6.
With the defeat, Farmington falls to 13-2 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Chargers in a non-league test on Thursday, April 7. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 14-4.
