Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) and the host Granby Memorial Bears (Granby, CT), witnessed Northwestern Regional's softball squad prevail over Granby Memorial by a count of 25-4.

The Highlanders now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Wolcott RVT for a non-league match on Monday, April 4.

With the loss, Granby Memorial moves to 0-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Rockville (Vernon, CT) to meet the Rams in a North Central Connecticut match on Tuesday, April 5. The Rams go into the match with a record of 1-0. Rockville won 7-0 in their recent non-league match against Mercy (Middletown, CT)
