The Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) softball routed the visiting Granby Memorial Bears (Granby, CT), 6-0 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Highlanders (10-0) will now prepare for their bout against Avon (Avon, CT). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 5-3 record.

The Bears now possess a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy for a North Central Connecticut bout on Wednesday, May 4. Granby Memorial will confront a Phoenix squad coming off a 25-4 non-league loss to Weaver (Hartford, CT). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-8.
