Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) backers exited the stadium satisfied Wednesday as they saw their lacrosse team achieve victory over the host Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 11-5 in a league game.

With the victory, Middletown improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Islanders host Cumberland (Cumberland, RI) to play the Clippers in a Division 2 game on Monday, April 7. The Clippers come into the game with a record of 2-1. Cumberland lost 14-9 in their recent non-league game against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI)

The Huskies now have a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ponaganset for a non-league game on Thursday, April 3. Mt. Hope will play a Chieftains team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Toll Gate (Warwick, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-1.
