The Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) softball nipped the visiting DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Hornets now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne Valley for a Big North - Independence outing on Friday, April 4. Passaic Valley will encounter a Indians team coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Kennedy (Paterson, NJ). The Indians record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, DePaul Catholic moves to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans host St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ) to encounter the Gaels in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 5. The Gaels come into the outing with a record of 1-0. St. Mary won 12-3 in their recent non-league outing against Wood-Ridge (Wood-Ridge, NJ)
