The Eagles now hold a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olmsted Falls for a Southwestern outing on Friday, April 22. Avon will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.
Next, the Bulldogs confront the St. Edward Eagles (Lakewood, OH) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, April 21. Olmsted Falls will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record.
Game Summary
After a 12 day lay-off due to weather, the Varsity baseball team was back in action against Avon in a conference matinee on Wednesday at noon.
The bulldogs cranked out 5 hits offensively, Dylan Sowers had 2 hits, including a 2B and 1 RBI. Nolan Loomis had 2 singles, and James Jones added in a single as well.
Aiden Neff started going 3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. Eddie Goetz came on in relief, allowing 3 hits, and allowing 0 runs, with 2 strikouts.
Varsity falls to 3-3 overall, 3-2 in the SWC. Dogs will be back in action tomorrow @ Crushers stadium, our home away from home, against St. Ed's, 5pm start.
