North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Laney Topsail

In Wednesday's league test, the host Topsail Pirates lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-9 victory over the Laney Buccaneers.

The Pirates now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cape Fear Academy for a non-league game on Friday, April 22. Topsail will encounter a Hurricanes team coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Ravenscroft (Raleigh, NC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 6-5.

The Buccaneers (11-3) will now prepare for their game against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings go into the Mideastern game with a 14-0 record. In their last game, Hoggard nudged Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 19-6, in a league game.
