The Mattanawcook Lynx softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Central Red Devils to 2 in the Lynx league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Mattanawcook moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lynx travel to George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME) to play the Eagles in a Class C North game on Friday, April 22. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Red Devils play the Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 25. Central will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Ponies come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 24-0 league loss to Hermon (Hermon, ME).
