The R-S Central Hilltoppers the host Brevard Blue Devils softball squad by a count of 9-5 in Thursday's league battle.
The Hilltoppers (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Wolverines go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Polk County was routed by R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC), 6-2, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils now sport a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Hendersonville for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle on Tuesday, April 25. Brevard will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 20-2 league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-11.
