In Friday's league game, the host Crosby Cougars baseball team scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Barbers Hill Eagles.
The Cougars (8-4) will now prepare for their game against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region III District 17 game with a 8-3 record.
The Eagles (7-7) will now prepare for their game against Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Indians go into the 5A Region III District 17 game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Port Neches-Groves tipped Sterling (Baytown, TX), 5-0, in a league game.
