Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI), 10-9 in a league battle.

The Chieftains now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary Academy-Bay View for a non-league battle on Monday, April 24. Ponaganset will clash with a Bengals squad coming off a 12-11 non-league loss to Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Bengals record now stands at 1-2.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) in a Division 1 (State) battle, on Wednesday, April 26. Providence Country Day will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record.
