The crowd at Friday's league match between the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) and the host Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM), saw Silver's softball squad nip Deming by a count of 9-2.

The Fighting Colts now sport a 19-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chaparral for a 4A District 3 match on Tuesday, April 25. Silver will face a Lobos squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Lobos record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Deming falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to face the Desert Warriors in a 4A District 3 match on Tuesday, April 25. The Desert Warriors enter the match with a record of 11-11. Santa Teresa won 13-6 in their recent league match against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)
