In Friday's league game, the visiting Montgomery Bears baseball team scored a tight 10-3 victory over the Porter Spartans.

The Spartans (13-3) will now prepare for their match against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region III District 20 match with a 14-16 record. In their last match, Kingwood Park edged Dayton (Dayton, TX), 7-0, in a league match.
