The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) and the host Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), saw Mesa Vista's baseball team gain a win over Penasco by a tally of 10-6.

The Trojans (1-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Questa (Questa, NM). The Wildcats go into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Questa was overwhelmed by Mora (Mora, NM), 17-13, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Penasco drops to 4-14 on the year. The Panthers host McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to clash with the Bobcats in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, April 24. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 12-5. McCurdy lost 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM)
