Illinois High School Softball - Hamilton County bounces Frankfort

The Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) softball routed the host Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), 5-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Foxes (13-6) will now prepare for their bout against Fairfield (Fairfield, IL). The Mules go into the Black Diamond East bout with a 10-8 record. In their last bout, Fairfield held off Edwards County (Albion, IL), 3-1, in a league bout.

The Redbirds now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Massac County for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Monday, April 25. Frankfort will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 7-2 league win over Benton (Benton, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 11-5.
