In Saturday's non-league contest, the Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) softball team held off the host Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), by a margin of 10-9.

With the triumph, Hamilton County moves its record to 21-10 on the year. The Foxes travel to Crab Orchard (Marion, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 14. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 13-8. Crab Orchard won 26-3 in their recent league contest against Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL)

In their next game, the Redbirds play the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 16. Frankfort will attempt to move on its 12-19 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the contest with a 6-14 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Trico (Campbell Hill, IL).
