In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Coventry Oakers baseball team scored a close 11-10 victory over the North Kingstown Skippers.
The Oakers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Bishop Hendricken held off West Warwick (West Warwick, RI), 12-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Skippers face the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 28. North Kingstown will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Sentinels enter the game with a 1-5 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to East Providence (East Providence, RI).
