Virginia High School Softball - Halifax County bounces George Washington

In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Halifax County Comets softball team scored a nice 18-0 win over the George Washington Eagles.
The Comets (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees come into the non-league match with a 7-3 record. In their last match, Brookville notched a victory over Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 5-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a Piedmont match, on Monday, April 28. George Washington will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Bengals come into the match with a 1-8 record after their 18-4 league loss to Halifax County (South Boston, VA).
