Virginia High School Softball - Halifax County bounces George Washington

In Tuesday's league match, the host Halifax County Comets softball team scored a nice 16-0 victory over the George Washington Eagles.
The Comets (13-5) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Seminole match with a 13-1 record. In their last match, Jefferson Forest gained a win over Liberty (Bedford, VA), 6-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 8. George Washington will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Generals go into the match with a 3-7 record after their 7-2 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA).
