The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), observed Helix's softball team notch a victory over Monte Vista by a final score of 18-0.

The Highlanders (9-4) will now prepare for their bout against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA). The Crusaders go into the non-league bout with a 15-5 record. In their last bout, Mater Dei Catholic gained a win over Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA), 4-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Monarchs battle the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont Valley bout, on Friday, April 25. Monte Vista will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Foothillers go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Olympian (Chula Vista, CA).
