Illinois High School Softball - Kewanee gets by St. Bede

Spectators at Monday's league match between the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) and the visiting St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), witnessed Kewanee's softball squad tip St. Bede by a count of 4-3.

The Boilermakers now sport a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 25. Kewanee will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 8-2 league win over ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, St. Bede moves to 5-5 on the season. The Bruins host Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL) to meet the Comets in a Three Rivers East match on Tuesday, April 25. The Comets go into the match with a record of 7-5. Newman Central Catholic won 7-3 in their recent league match against Mendota (Mendota, IL)
