In Thursday's league contest, the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL), by a margin of 7-0.

With the triumph, St. Bede moves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Bruins travel to Morrison (Morrison, IL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Friday, April 28. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 11-6. Morrison won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL)

In their next game, the Boilermakers play the Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 28. Kewanee will attempt to move on its 9-5 season record.
