Goodwin Tech Gladiators (New Britain, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT), 13-9 in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Wolcott RVT for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. Goodwin Tech will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-3 league win over Wright Tech (Stamford, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Vinal RVT falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Hawks host Bullard-Havens (Bridgeport, CT) to battle the Tigers in a Connecticut Tech challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-6.
