The Grimsley Whirlies lacrosse squad scored 16 points and limited the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 9 in the Whirlies league triumph on Thursday.
The Whirlies now hold a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Page for a Metro challenge on Monday, April 28. Grimsley will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 11-7 league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, Southwest Guilford falls to 1-14 on the year. The Cowboys host Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Nighthawks in a Metro challenge on Friday, April 25. The Nighthawks go into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Northern Guilford won 11-7 in their recent league challenge against Page (Greensboro, NC)
