In Thursday's league match, the visiting Washington Panthers softball team scored a tight 10-3 win over the Canton Little Giants.

The Panthers (14-1) will now prepare for their match against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles come into the Mid-Illini match with a 16-3 record. In their last match, Dunlap nipped Ottawa (Ottawa, IL), 1-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Little Giants confront the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini match, on Tuesday, April 29. Canton will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record.
